In March 2008, Agile facilitated a workshop for three companies that needed to get two projects they were working on back on track.
These three companies had previously acted as one supplier and two clients. Despite the fact that the two clients would normally be in competition with each other, all three companies realised that unless they worked more collaboratively, neither project would meet its schedule.
Everyone needed to work towards maintaining the schedule of both projects by identifying resource shortfalls, pooling their existing resources and expertise and identifying alternative means of achieving their objectives.
This was no easy task and the workshop was no "tree hugging" session - it was hard work, but we got there. Output from the workshop was available within 24 hours and was delivered by hand to client offices at the weekend.
Upon receipt of this material, one of the client leaders offered the following comment:
"At last, a consultant’s report that sticks to the point..... it certainly appears to record the day without excess ‘waffle’. A style that may be unfashionable, but which is very much appreciated"
If this sounds like the sort of approach to consultancy or workshop facilitation that you might find "unfashionably refreshing", contact us for an informal discussion of your requirements.
