Aberdeen Wanderers Rugby Club had a cash boost recently to help continue coaching during the worst of the Winter weather, provide First Aid training and strength and conditioning coaching, all thanks to sportsmatch, Z-Seal and Agile Business Consultants.

Sportsmatch ScotlandSponsorship from Z-Seal and Agile Business Consultants, matched by the sports sponsorship scheme sportsmatch, has enabled Aberdeen Wanderers Rugby Club to continue coaching members of its youth section by hiring indoor facilities during the Winter months. The cash has also been used to help fund strength and conditioning coaching and for a specialist sports First Aid course attended by seven of the club's coaches.

“Agile Business Consultants is pleased to be able to contribute to the development of rugby in Aberdeen” says Alan Callow, a director of Agile. “We hope that Wanderers will benefit from improved continuity and quality of coaching safe in the knowledge that they have newly qualified First Aiders should they be required".

“The support we have received from Z-Seal and Agile, combined with our sportsmatch award, means we can maintain continuity of training over Winter and improve players fitness and strength so that their performance is enhanced and they are less susceptible and more resistant to injury. If the worst does happen, we now have First Aiders across all the age groups ready to spring into action. It is no coincidence that membership of the club is increasing - players appreciate the availability of coaching and parents appreciate that we put player safety first.” said Ray Hall, President of the Youth Section.
